On January 10, 1901, the Spindletop oil field was discovered near Beaumont, Texas. It is estimated that the Lucas No. 1 Well produced over 100,000 barrels of oil per day over a nine-day period. This discovery was not only the richest of its kind at the time, but ultimately led the way for the beginning of the "oil boom" in the United States. Our namesake is not only an homage to the groundbreaking Spindletop discovery, but also an acknowledgement of our industry’s past in Texas. It truly paved the way for individual landowners to create generational wealth by way of enjoying royalties from the mineral rights they own.
